Colby Cottages have two self-contained cottages situated 10km north of Beechworth in the peaceful surrounds of the beautiful Wooragee Valley. The lovely, romantic one bedroom cottages are furnished in an older style with queen sized beds, full kitchen (a breakfast starter pack is provided), spa, open fire, reverse cycle air conditioning, television and DVD player with movies available. You can also enjoy watching the sunset from the back verandah with a glass of wine.

Coupled with the antique furnishings and decor, the interiors have a real old world charm whilst maintaining modern amenities including reverse cycle air conditioning and two person spas. The open fires when lit have an ambience all of their own and marshmallows are usually supplied in the cooler weather for toasting at your lesuire. A drop of local port and chocolates are provided for those intimate moments on the back verandah watching the sunset over the surrounding hills. Breakfast provisions are supplied and cooking your own breakfast on the little antique gas stove is another charming episode for most guests.

Guests may also stroll along the garden paths, taking in the large array of flowers and shrubs, the many garden ornaments and the garden rotunda. Guests are invited to swim in the beautifully landscaped pool.

Directions

Colby Cottages are located at Wooragee, on the main Wodonga to Beechworth road, next to the alpaca farm. They are located approximately half way between the historic towns of Yackandandah and Beechworth. Colby Cottages are 1.5 kms from the Wooragee School, 5.5 kms from the Yackandandah turnoff, and 13 kms from the Beechworth Post Office.
