Rod & Barry invite you to experience Barnsley House Bed & Breakfast, Beechworth's most elegant B & B, Circa 1859. Set amongst large formal gardens, our beautifully appointed Victorian/Edwardian home offers our guests a choice of five rooms individually decorated with original antiques. All retreats have ensuites, 2 have spas, and one has a claw foot bath. All have showers. All retreats have split system heating/cooling, 3 have open fires, everything required for a romantic and relaxing retreat. Individual balconies for each room offer a private retreat to sit and take in our exquisite gardens.

A guest lounge area is also available offering an open fire, library, TV, CD, DVD player (with Discs), Video player and is also fully air-conditioned and heated.

Our guest dining and conservatory area is also available to guests to relax and enjoy. The conservatory is a wonderful room in which to unwind, read the daily papers or a good book, or to just enjoy the beautiful gardens outside the full length windows.

Enjoy a sumptuous continental and fully cooked breakfast in the morning, accompanied by a variety of juices, a pot of tea of your choice, or a wonderful espresso coffee.

For the energetic, the famed North-East rail trail is right outside the back gate, and we are only 6 minutes walk from the town centre, with its many attractions.
Rod & Barry are well versed in the sights and activities on offer in the region, and are happy to assist with information to help spend your time in the area.

Less than a 10 min walking distance to restaurants, galleries, stores, Lake Sambell and many other of Beechworth's attractions. For the energetic we have the Rail Trail at our back door, providing an ideal central base for touring this great North East Region. Breakfast is provided as a full country style breaky with great espresso coffee and is served in the conservatory/dining room at your leisure. Local Attractions: Many award winning wineries, swimming at Lake Sambell or the Gorge pools, bike riding and walking trails through beautiful bushland, galleries, award winning restaurants and antique stores. Beechworth is also centrally located between other great towns such as Yackandandah, Bright, Milawa Gourmet Region (home of Brown Bros Wines and Milawa Cheese), Rutherglen, Chiltern and Myrtleford. Our snow fields are located only an hour from Beechworth and also many National Parks. Looking for that much needed holiday break, then look for Barnsley House in historic Beechworth.

Directions

3.5 hours drive from Melbourne. From Melbourne, take the Hume Freeway and then the Beechworth turnoff. In Beechworth turn right at the round about in centre of town and follow Camp Street past the famous Beechworth Bakery, taking the first right after the bridge into Harper Avenue. Turning left at the end of Harper Avenue and Barnsley House appears in front as you turn the corner. Entering town from Wodonga turn left at centre round about. Off street parking available for 5 vehicles.
